JSL

The Japanese as a Second Language (JSL) Programme is a programme for students who wish to undertake intensive Japanese study. Students in the JSL programme spend the first six months of their studies undertaking intensive Japanese language studies in the international student class. After this period, students then transfer into one of the regular high school courses offered at Sendai Ikuei Gakuen High School. From this point, these students study alongside Japanese high school students to attain the Japanese High School graduation certificate.
Following graduation, a majority of JSL graduates continue on to enrol in Japanese universities.
